Off the Beaten Track

Australia is such a large country and it is definitely worth veering off the beaten track to admire and experience the more unusual and remote locations in your motor home. Choosing where to go can be tricky with the seven states each offering their own unique landscape and attractions, so why not be adventurous and go somewhere you haven't yet been or seen. We have complied a few places of our own which would definitely be worth considering, all in the comfort of your own motor home.

Greens Pool - WA

Off the beaten is Williams Bay National park fifteen kilometres west of Denmark where you will find the beautiful picturesque Green Pool. This destination is almost completely sheltered from the waves of the Great Southern Ocean with rounded rock boulders which the area is known for. The colour of the Green Pools is spectacular with clean, clear emerald waters with rock pools, soft sand which is perfect for snorkelling.

Where to Stay:

Denmark ocean beach Holiday Park offers caravan and motor home sites with both power and unpowered sites, along with park facilities such as tennis court, children's play ground BBQ area and much more!

Ormiston Gorge, NT

The Ormiston Gorge is located within the MacDonnell National Park and is 135 kilometres west of Alice Springs. There is a large waterhole at the bottom of the gorge that is estimated to be 14 metres deep. There are a number of spectacular walks that surround the gorge including the pound walk which completes a full circuit from the visitors centre right up and through the gorge. The gorge is also the home to an abundance of wildlife including reptiles and manuals.

Where to stay:

There are facilities for camping at the gorge, including BBQ facilities and shaded areas for your motor home. 

Wave Rock - WA

Wave Rock is located in Hayden Western Australia where a unique rock formation stands 15m tall and 100m long. The giant wave is made up of multicoloured granite with bushlands surrounding the landform. There are also a number of must sees within the area such as Hippo's Yawn, Cave of Malka, salt lakes and swim in Lake Magic. 

Where to stay:

The Wave Rock cabins and caravan park is 3 star with peaceful and quiet surrounds. The park offers powered and unpowered sites for your motor home or caravan. There is a swimming pool, BBQ area, kiosk and more!
